“Traffic could be disrupted on some Transilien lines today and in the days to come”, communicated the SNCF this Thursday, December 23, which manages the Transilien network in Île-de-France. In question ? Lack of staff.
And the situation is such that the SNCF invites Transilien users “to prepare their trips the day before from 5 p.m. by consulting the route planner or by personalizing your timetable”. “Before going to the station, we advise you to systematically check the timetables of your trains in the“ Next departures ”section”, we can read on the dedicated website.
“Lack of staff”
The reason given? “A lack of personnel due to the health crisis” as well as various “social movements”. In fact, the disruptions should last until the end of the Christmas weekend on the Transilien network. Lines H, J, L, P and R will therefore not operate normally, and traffic will be “heavily” disrupted on line P on December 25 and 26.
On the RER side, the situation will not be any better. This Thursday, for example, traffic will be disrupted on the entire RER C: “plan 2 out of 3 trains on average” for this day. The same goes for the RER D, where the disruptions had already started yesterday: “between Corbeil-Essonnes and Melun, plan about 1 train out of 2 between 5.45 am and 10 am as well as between 4.20 pm and 9 pm”.

Concerning the RER E, the traffic will be more “slightly disturbed on the whole of the line”, and this, a priori, only at the end of the day “from 9:30 pm”. “A local social movement” would be at the origin of these disturbances which will last nevertheless until Sunday, December 26th.
