Ile-de-France: strike at the RATP, traffic disrupted on buses and trams from Monday

Arrival of the competition

Originally, the objective was to change the current rules so that from January 1, 2025, all bus and tram drivers will be transferred to RATP subsidiaries, or competitors who have won the tenders launched by the regional transport authority, Île-de-France Mobilités. On this date, theterritorial social framework(CST) will impose the same rules of organization and working hours on all companies. Less advantageous rules than those currently guaranteed by the RATP.

A draft agreement had been proposed to the unions on April 4, providing for an increase in working time of 120 hours per year – including the elimination of six days of RTT – in exchange for a salary increase of 2,600 euros gross annually, is the equivalent of a 14th month. None of the four representative trade union organizations (CGT, FO, Unsa, CFE-CGC) agreed to sign. RATP management has therefore taken the unilateral decision that from July 1, 2022, working time will be increased by around twenty hours per year against a gross increase of 460 euros, the maximum that management can impose. unilaterally. Indeed, only a negotiation could have made it possible to eliminate rest days and therefore to increase more widely the annual working time as well as the wages.
