Delighted with the visit of the host, who was also recognized by one of them, the residents showed him around their small village. They led him to the square, where they are used to meeting with men, while waiting for their wives to prepare food, in particular. After asking them if the surroundings were dangerous, Antoine de Maximy asked one of the residents if he could sleep at his place. The response was spontaneous: a big yes!

After talking about the meal, the residents and the host walked the streets of the village, until making a strange discovery, in the middle of the street: a wooden coffin. Astonished, the host questioned them: “It’s what ? […] Is that a coffin? No !”. One of them then explained to him: “We had a death last week”. To which the host responded, perplexed: “He’s not in there?”before having an amused response: “There? No! It’s a woman, she was buried, so we’re going to take the coffin to the cemetery”, “If anyone needs it for next time”added the other resident.
