Head coach Christian Ilzer and neo-goalie Kjell Scherpen answered questions from the Austrian and Dutch press in the impressive PSV Arena. “It’s nice to be back on Dutch soil,” said Scherpen, who has already had one or two experiences at the Philips Stadium (with Vitesse Arnhem). He also carefully studied PSV’s last competitive game (against Feyenoord in the Supercup). “A strong squad, but our team is also well prepared. The fans in Eindhoven are loud, but if things don’t go well for them, they can whistle quickly. Hopefully we can silence them.”
