Extremely popular in France and the United States, Starbucks offers a wide choice of drinks to enjoy at any time. But some of them should be avoided, according to nutritionists.
During an interview given to the site Eat This, Not ThatMichelle Rauch, a registered dietitian in the New York and New Jersey metropolitan area, said that “The Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino as directed contains 480 calories, 55 grams of sugar and 24 grams of fat.” And to add: “That’s the same amount of sugar as eating almost nine Oreo cookies and more sugar than two regular-sized Snickers bars.” The expert also explained that this drink, which is all the rage in France and around the world, contains “the same amount of fat as a large serving of McDonald’s fries.”

Cinnamon Dolce Lattewhich combines whipped cream and cinnamon-flavored syrup, “can be ordered hot or iced”but these ingredients unfortunately don’t have many health benefits. “Both versions contain 300 calories or more in the large size. Nearly 40% of those calories come from fat. Additionally, each drink contains 35 to 40 grams of sugar.”indicated nutritionist Meghan Novoshielski.
The Caramel Ribbon Crunch Caramel Frappuccino among the Starbucks drinks to avoid
Meghan Novoshielski then indicated to the American site that white chocolate mocha Frappuccino contained “more saturated fat than a McDonald’s Big Mac and more sugar than a 500 ml bottle of Coca-Cola”before specifying that it was “the most sugar-rich Frappuccino on the Starbucks menu”.

Starbucks: here are the two other drinks to avoid according to nutritionists
Hot chocolate should be avoidedjust like Frappuccino matcha cream shake. Although matcha is a highly nutritious ingredient, this drink is anything but healthy. “It’s actually a green milkshake disguised as tea that contains a minimum of 520 calories” if you get a venti, the largest cup size at Starbucks. As dietitian-nutritionist Lauren Harris-Pincus explains, Matcha Frappuccino “contains nearly three days’ worth of added sugars and half the daily value of saturated fat.”

Experts recommend ordering the Starbucks Refresha Pink Coconut, which combines the sweetness of strawberry acai with the tropical creaminess of coconut milk. The vanilla-flavored hot milk stained with espresso topped with a caramel-flavored topping is highly recommended, as are these four other drinks: the lavender iced latte, the cold brew with vanilla sweetened cream, the espresso shake with almond milk and frozen chocolate as well as the caramel macchiato.
