The Australian jungle camp has to be canceled this year, but RTL is showing an event show. Here is the first information.

Finally there are details about the new RTL jungle show. In the 15-part event series "I am a Star – The Great Jungle Show" (also via TVNow), celebrities are fighting for entry into the jungle camp in 2022. The broadcaster announced this on "RTL.de". Not only does the well-established moderation duo Sonja Zietlow (52) and Daniel Hartwich (42) take a close look at the candidates.

Jungle camp darling Dr. Bob will put the stars through their paces. The camp doctor is specially flown in from Australia. In the end, one candidate will take first place in the upcoming jungle camp. In the live shows, studio guests will also present the highlights of the past 14 seasons "I'm a star – get me out of here!" looked back. The series will be shown live daily from Friday, January 15 (10:15 p.m.).

The jungle camp, which would have celebrated its 15th anniversary in January 2021, was not to be produced in Australia for the first time, but in Wales – more precisely at Gwrych Castle. With the increase in the number of infections, however, RTL decided against it. Instead, the "IBES" show with Sonja Zietlow and Daniel Hartwich was announced in Germany in October. Zietlow has moderated the jungle camp since the first season, Daniel Hartwich has been there since season seven.
