“I’m not just that”: how Hugo Manos wants to make a career without being brought back to his relationship with Laurent Ruquier

During an interview for Le Parisien, Hugo Manos returned to his relationship with Laurent Ruquier. The C8 columnist especially wants us to talk to him about his career and not about his daily life with the presenter of France 2.

Today Hugo Manos would like us to talk to him more about his career than about his relationship with Laurent Ruquier. On the occasion of an interview for our colleagues from Parisian, the C8 columnist wanted to make things clear. As he discusses his future in TPMP PeopleHugo Manos intends to become famous without always being brought back to his companion: “I’m not just that. And it’s already happened that I’ve been recognized and not him, when he was nearby!”he blurts out.

Hugo Manos also told how he was recruited by C8 to become a columnist in Do not touch My TV : “I received the phone call at 1 p.m., it was necessary to be at the studio at 6 p.m., remembers the one who was that day on the return from his holidays. As soon as the plane landed, I jumped in a taxi and arrived with my suitcases on the set”. It was last May that he arrived in TPMP to discuss a subject related to homophobia : “It was natural and spontaneous, I said what I thought, he sums up. It’s important for me to defend what I believe in, especially on a subject that concerns me”.

Hugo Manos: “Honestly, I know at that time that they are also coming to get me because I am in a relationship with Laurent”

But Hugo Manos still keeps his feet on the ground and is not naive. When he formalized his relationship with Laurent Ruquier, Matthieu Delormeau contacted him to integrate TPMP People: “Honestly, I know at that moment that they are also coming to get me because I’m in a relationship with Laurent. But I knew it could have played on two or three shows, no more. Just having a name isn’t enough to stay on the show.” To see if at the start of the school year Hugo Manos confirms his place as a columnist in the various C8 broadcasts.
