A survivor of the Bataclan attack, 14 years old at the time, delivers heartbreaking testimony, in the columns of the Ouest-France newspaper, in the middle of the November 13 trial.

She was at Bataclan the evening of November 13, 2015. 14 years old at the time, Louise was attending the Eagles of The Death Metal concert. His godfather had given him the ticket for his birthday. “We settled down to the right of the stage”tells the young woman in the columns of the newspaper West France. She describes an overexcited atmosphere in this concert hall from the 11th arrondissement of Paris: “It was the general euphoria”.

When the terrorists started shootingLouise first believed in “sounds of firecrackers” who were doing “part of the gig”. “Then the music stopped to give way to cries of terror, pain and gunshots”she continues in her chilling testimony. Her godfather lay on top of her to protect her. “I was terrified, glued to the ground, both hands in blood”details the survivor, now 20 years old.

Louise, Bataclan survivor: “I was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress”

Louise then explains that her brain has “switched” in survival mode. On the ground, the blood was nothing but ketchup and the assailants fired with blank bullets. When they finally left the room, his godfather took him by the hand and they ran to the main door. Once in the street, they continued to “run to the police station”.

In his daily testimony West Francethe young woman says she returned to class three days after the attacks but she was “on permanent alert”. She couldn’t concentrate or fall asleep.. “I was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress”entrusts the one who, nearly seven years after the tragedy, has managed to rebuild. “I go back to concerts, sitting near the exit. I’m scared when I hear a firecracker, but I can sit on the terrace. The terrorists haven’t won”.
