For years, Shimon Hayut (31) lived on the money of others. The Israeli travels the world as a “Tinder swindler”. On the dating platform, he pretends to be a rich heir. He wins the hearts of his victims with luxurious dates and then asks them for money. He is said to have taken around 9.2 million francs from women. He has now been exposed with a Netflix documentary that has become a worldwide hit.
Now the alleged fraudster has spoken for the first time. In the CBS program “Inside Edition” Hayut denies all allegations. He is just “a single man” who wanted to meet “a few women” on Tinder, says the Israeli. “I’m not a Tinder scammer.” The Netflix documentation is not true. “They present history as documentation, as reality. But this is a completely made-up film,” Hayut said.
People don’t know him, so you can’t really judge him, says Hayut. “At the end of the day, I’m not a monster and I’m not a fake.” The young man has been repeatedly arrested in recent years, but he is currently at large.
Plans as a Hollywood star
In the interview, the alleged fraudster is serious. He even kisses his new girlfriend on the mouth. According to several reports, the woman is said to be Israeli model Kate Konlin (24). However, Hayut has not yet officially confirmed the name. However, he claims of himself: “I am the greatest gentleman in the world.”
