During the last Star Academy 2023 bonus, Héléna moved everyone to tears: the teachers, her classmates, the viewers but also David Hallyday who came to congratulate her in person.
This Saturday, January 20, the first semi-final of the Star Academy 2023. A very intense bonus which saw Axel and Julien clash. The two young men therefore multiplied their vocal performances and it was finally Julien who was saved by the public. Although Pierre and Héléna were hardly present during this bonus (their semi-final being played this Saturday, January 27), they still participated in the show. Indeed, Pierre sang a duet with Didier Barbelivien and Héléna with the superstar Zara Larsson.
But Héléna was also able to present the singing/dancing scene that she had imagined during her evaluation. Result, Héléna performed the title Stolen by Celine Dion, for pay tribute to her grandmother who recently passed away and to whom she was unable to say goodbye. A moving performance that moved all the teachers to tears. But also David Hallyday who came to visit the last three candidates, at the castle of Dammarie-les-Lys, this Sunday, January 21.

David Hallyday very moved by Héléna’s performance
Cécile Chaduteau was accompanied by David Hallyday to do the traditional prime debrief. And after watching Héléna’s performance, David Hallyday was moved to tears. “We’re going to try not to shed a little tear. It was very beautiful,” declared the son of Johnny Hallyday. Héléna also spoke about her feelings after her performance. For the pretty blonde, the exercise was particularly complicated since she had watched the tape broadcast just before her performance. “It put me in a state… I said to myself: ‘How am I going to do this?’ I should never have seen it before. It disturbed me”, confides Héléna. Faced with emotion, the young Belgian even forgot the words of the song!
And if David Hallyday was particularly touched by this tribute, it is also because he shares a similar story. Indeed, when he lost his grandfather, the artist wanted to pay tribute to him with the song You didn’t give me time. “When everything is going well, we never say ‘I love you’ enough to the people we love. It’s once they’re gone…” explained David Hallyday. Very moved, the singer then had to stop speaking before adding: “I’m a little upset about his stuff. I don’t have anything to say.”
