Thanks to smartphones, many people now have a camera with them. These apps help to get the best result out of photos.

If you want to stand out with your selfies and smartphone pictures on Instagram and Co., various apps will help you create individual photos. These are three popular photo editing programs for smartphones.

“Photoshop Express”

Many apps are free, but users often need a personal account with the respective provider. For example with “Photoshop Express” (iOS / Android) from Adobe. Once you have connected to the otherwise free app, the intuitive user interface picks up the user immediately. The auto-correction function alone delivers good results. If you dig deeper into the subject, you will definitely be happy with “Photoshop Express”, the possibility of uploading and editing several images at once is particularly successful.

The tools integrated in “Photoshop Express” work precisely and are very extensive. Adjusting the contrasts or doing a white balance is just the beginning. Numerous other functions, such as the ability to add text to images or to create a collage with just a few clicks, make “Photoshop Express” one of the most popular image editing apps of all.

“VSCO”

The “VSCO” app also has impressive download figures. You can use it to edit not only photos, but also videos. The basic version of “VSCO” is also free, but editing videos is then not possible. The filters supplied free of charge are nothing special; users also have to pay to be able to select hippier functions.

The great strength of “VSCO” lies in the sharing function. Here, the edited images can not only be viewed by others, but their filters can also be adopted and adapted for your own purposes. The user interface of the app can also be adapted: Unused functions can be hidden and those that are used particularly frequently can be placed more prominently. “VSCO” is available for Android and iOS.

“Snapseed”

“Snapseed” from Google does not require a separate registration. The free all-rounder is already preinstalled on numerous Android devices. From simple filter functions to the detailed manipulation of image data, “Snapseed” has everything in its program. The tools included are cleverly integrated into the simple-looking user interface and range from standard tools such as adjusting the contrast to a blurring or text function. The ability to reapply filters that have already been used is also useful.

“Snapseed” is ad-free and does not require the creation of a profile, but can be linked to the Google Drive cloud database. In addition, a Soical Media function is included, which makes it possible to publish edited images on the respective channels in an uncomplicated manner. “Snapseed” is also for Android and iOS available.
