The only thing is, we don’t really have any images to eat, only rumors and some information given by the studio. But that may soon change. The firm is the victim of a leak, and obviously, it’s serious.
Marvel’s Wolverine victim of a huge leak
A user named cyberdaily first noticed that Insomniac Games had indeed been the target of a cyberattack. The group behind this one, Rhysida, proved that they had confidential information by posting the personal data of employees and ex-employees of the company. In addition, it also includes documents regarding Yuri Lowenthal, Peter Parker’s voice actor in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. But then, what will happen to Wolverine?
The group made a statement against the studio. He would have seven days to pay an undisclosed sum of money, otherwise all the data they have will be posted online. However, they have already launched auctions for 50 Bitcoins (or approximately $2 million). As you will have understood, it also includes images of Marvel’s Wolverine. Some of them have already been revealed. Unfortunately, they didn’t stop there. An auction has started online, and we can read the following description: “ With only 7 days left, take the opportunity to bid on exclusive, unique and impressive data “.
For the moment, Insomniac Games has not spoken out about this terrible situation. We’re still waiting to see what he’s going to do, but it clearly smells bad. Obviously, we’re going to learn more about Marvel’s Wolverine, but not in the way we would have liked. This news sadly joins the enormous number of leaks that have occurred in recent years in the video game sphere. In this case, it’s not just the game that is being targeted, and that’s really worrying.
What do we know about the game?
At the moment, we don’t know much about Marvel’s Wolverine, apart from rumors in the corridors. The latest news is that the game will finally be postponed and we will have to wait until 2025 before getting our hands on it. At least, that’s what DanielRPK, known for his leaks in the cinema industry, tells us. You obviously have to take this with a grain of salt. But given the little information we have on the game, it is entirely possible.
What we learned again is that Marvel’s Wolverine will opt for a darker tone, and that we should expect a lot of violence. In a game with Logan as the main character, we expected nothing less. On the other hand, the game would take place in Madripoor, and not in the lakes and forests of Canada. As a reminder, this country inspired by South Asia has already been seen in the comics and the series Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The atmosphere of the title would therefore be more focused on cyberpunk, which will not necessarily please everyone. Will all the action of the game take place in such a location?
