Images of a game designed for Sega amusement parks, featuring Michael Jackson, have been found at a garage sale in Britain. Rare images for a vanished game.

SEGA

We can never repeat enough that we can sometimes make incredible discoveries in garage sales. The latest example is in Great Britain. A man has indeed got his hands on an extract from a video game designed by SEGA in 1993 for its amusement parks SEGA Worldwhich featured Michael Jackson himself.

According to the specialized site Gaming Alexandria, it was a game called Scramble Training. Shown in an attraction furiously resembling the Star Tour of the Disney park, the player boarded a spaceship to become a pilot. The King of Pop appeared in Full Motion Video sequences, to provide advice to aspiring pilots. The singer even designed the game’s soundtrack.

A charitable soul has digitized the footage of this game with the Popstar, available on Youtube.

Michael Jackson has worked several times with the Japanese firm. The oldest and nostalgic certainly remember Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker; three games released on different platforms between 1988 and 1990. The arcade version thus offered a Beat Them All in isometric 3D.

At the beginning of the year, we also learned from the voice of the co-creator of Sonic, Yuji Naka (who has just been arrested in Japan for insider trading at the end of November…), that Michael Jackson has well composed soundtrack Sonic The Hedghog 3.
