The Blues received a triumphant welcome, Monday, December 19, place de la Concorde, in Paris, for their return from the World Cup in Qatar. The fans cheered the players and their staff, making us forget the defeat of the French team in the final, the day before against Argentina.
The Blues flew back to Qatar on Monday morning, accompanied by the first lady, Brigitte Macron. They arrived at Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport around 8 p.m., then went by bus to the Crillon hotel, place de la Concorde, in Paris.
They were 50,000, according to the police headquarters, to have gone Monday evening to the Place de la Concorde to cheer the Blues. After the victory in the final in 2018, nearly 300,000 people gathered on the avenue des Champs-Elysées, when the French team bus passed.
