CELEBRATIONS – If the French were not entitled to the traditional fireworks to welcome 2022, due to the spread of the Omicron variant, elsewhere in the world, many cities have caught fire.

Deprived of fireworks this year, especially on the Champs-Elysées in Paris, the French were able to experience this event by proxy by contemplating those from many countries, faithful to tradition despite the outbreak of Covid-19.
Australia
As every year, the first country to have opened the fireworks ball at midnight was therefore … Australia. The festivities were held in front of its famous opera house, located near Sydney Harbor, with fewer people than usual.
Taiwan
Then, direction Asia, to Taiwan, which – three hours later – began to project fireworks in orange hues from the top of its famous commercial tower: Taipei 101, located in the heart of its capital.
Thailand
Then, again in Asia, joy erupted in the Thai capital, known for its extravagance and its sense of celebration, Bangkok. The fireworks were fired from the Chao Phraya River, where their colorful lights were reflected.
United Arab Emirates
A few hours later, it was the turn of the United Arab Emirates to see the big picture. The Dubaiotes were amazed by turning them towards the tallest skyscraper in the world: the Burj Khalifa. The inscription “Happy New Year” was visible on its facade which also sparkled with a thousand lights. In total: 36 fires lit up the sky over the Arabian Peninsula country.
Russia
Moscow’s Red Square, near the Kremlin in Russia, was also illuminated by gigantic fireworks, more aerial than in previous capitals. Police officers supervised the event.
Greece
Europe’s turn to open its arms to 2022. With its slight jet lag, Greece was one of the first countries to celebrate the arrival of the New Year on the Old Continent. The colorful festivities took place not far from the Acropolis of Athens.

Germany
And it is finally a few kilometers from the French borders that its German neighbor has turned the page 2021. In front of the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, as well as under the eyes of a handful of people, white fireworks have exploded.
United States
The United States, finally, was one of the last countries in the world to celebrate 2022. If the gauges were reduced to attend the festivities in Times Square, in the heart of the “city that never sleeps”, many New -Yorkais were there.
