In a few days, the GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card will be available and a Founders Edition model is on the program.
The thing did not seem to have to be called into question, but a few shots confirm that NVIDIA does indeed have a Founders Edition (FE) of the GeForce RTX 4070 in its boxes.
Aesthetics close to the RTX 4080/4090
An FE which obviously looks a lot like the previous models, but which seems to take its cue more from the “high-end” versions than from the more affordable models.
Indeed, NVIDIA does not quite take over the design of the GeForce RTX 3060 or RTX 3070 FE cards. If there are still two fans, they are placed as on the RTX 3080/3080 Ti FE: they are offset from each other and their direction of rotation is reversed.
This should allow better air circulation, especially since the PCB of the card is at least as short as on the other RTX 4000s. In fact, the second fan is almost completely free of the PCB.
Just 24 centimeters long
The general aesthetics of the GeForce RTX 4070 FE is like the other models, sobriety remains in order. Difficult to find fault with it, especially since the dimensions of the map seem largely reduced.
Taking the PCI Express port as a basis, we can estimate dimensions similar to those of a GeForce RTX 3070 FE. In length, we can estimate 24 centimeters – much less than the 30 cm of the RTX 4080 FE – for a thickness of two PCI Express slots.
Unsurprisingly, the GeForce RTX 4070 FE has one HDMI 2.1 port and three DisplayPort 1.4. Even less surprising, note that NVIDIA is renewing the 16-pin power connector, despite the much lower energy requirements of its new card.
