Released in early access since April 26, 2022, Dune: Spice Wars welcomes a fifth playable faction. After Houses Atreides and Harkonnen, Smugglers and Fremen, Imperial House Corrino is coming to the game in an update taking place today.
This major update is the second of four steps announced by the developers before the launch of the final version of the strategy game. Thus, Shaddam IV, the Padishah Emperor arrives on Dune with his mobile royal palaces. By playing House Corrino, it will be possible to exert influence on the other factions by manipulating the CHOAM market as well as the Landsraad. Not to mention that you will have the ruthless Sardaukars at your command to crush your opponents. You will also count in your ranks swordsmen and riflemen in infantry, as well as incinerators who wield flamethrowers like no other. Finally you will benefit from artillery drones with the ability to launch large caliber explosives over long distances. Enough to make your enemies bend.
Along with this new faction, the update also brings some additional minor features, balancing, and quality of life improvements.
