Important update for Samsung phones: These 16 models will receive it now

• Samsung is distributing the September 2024 Android security patch for many of its devices. This patch closes 67 security vulnerabilities.
• One of the vulnerabilities is classified as critical, and many others pose a high risk. The update should therefore be installed immediately.
• The update is currently available for download for 16 Galaxy models.

The South Korean company Samsung distributes a security update for its Galaxy phones and tablets every month. The September patch closes a total of 67 security holes. 23 of these only affect Samsung phones, the other 44 holes also affect Android phones from other manufacturers, which will certainly respond to this with their own patches soon. One of the holes is classified as “critical”, while the risk posed by the others is “high” or “moderate”, reports SamMobile.
