AMD is working, and if Zen 4 is on everyone’s mind, the American is already thinking about the future of its processors with Zen 5.
No question of stealing the show from Zen 4 and during its event dedicated to the Ryzen 7000, AMD did not try to go too far in the future. As if to prove that her teams have ideas, Lisa Su, however, mentioned a not-so-distant horizon.
3D V-Cache still relevant with Zen 5
Indeed, while Zen 4 and the Ryzen 7000 will land on September 27 and the year 2023 will be entirely devoted to them, it seems that 2024 is already placed under the sign of Zen 5.
We obviously won’t know much more for the moment, but through a small slide, Lisa Su spoke about the future and presented a quick CPU roadmap.
We therefore see the Zen 5 clearly set on the year 2024 and presented via three variations: the “classic” Zen, the Zen 5c model as there will be a Zen 4c for specific needs and, finally, the Zen 5 3D V- Cache, sign that this recent technology will not be ephemeral.
