As a man of action, the new Jazzit managing director Vonbank has hired the Russian revolt band “Pussy Riot” for April. The feminist, government- and church-critical punk rock band gained notoriety primarily through spontaneous public protest appearances and performances. Frauennotruf offers a training program. But women are not only listened to on stage. Jazzit has developed its own concept for awareness and mindfulness. The club provides its employees and cooperation partners with a paid training program. As part of the courses organized, participants will also be introduced to the “Luisa is Here” support offer for women and girls in the event of sexual harassment. The Salzburg women’s emergency hotline will support the implementation. “Take The A-Train” festival celebrates its 10th anniversary. The “Take The A-Train” festival will return to the program as a classic in 2024. It is already the tenth edition of the format, which will take place in September. More precisely, across multiple stages. The audience can look forward to additional match days and new locations around the Bahnhofsviertel. Ex-Jazzit boss Andreas Neumayer is still on board as a curator. Also still on this year’s program is the music education series “All about that Jazz” for young people. Former Starmania winner Anna Buchegger supports the project. Other big names on the Jazzit stage this year: David Murray, Ralph Towner and Elias Stemeseder.
