In Bali, Xi pleads to strengthen Franco-Chinese cooperation in an interview with Macron

BEIJING (Reuters) – Chinese President Xi Jinping said in a bilateral meeting with Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday that China and France should strengthen cooperation while respecting each other’s own interests, Chinese state media reported.

During this meeting between the French and Chinese presidents, organized on the sidelines of the summit of the leaders of the G20 countries in Bali, Xi Jinping also expressed the wish that France provide a more equitable and non-discriminatory environment for Chinese companies in the Hexagon.
