A serious traffic accident happened in Bruck on Tuesday afternoon. A Russian drove into oncoming traffic for reasons that are still unclear.
Two cars collided head-on on Tuesday afternoon on the B311, the Pinzgauer Bundesstraße, in Bruck. A 38-year-old Russian drove his car into the oncoming lane for unknown reasons and crashed into the oncoming car of a 25-year-old local. The 25-year-old was able to get out of his car on his own, but the Russian was trapped in his vehicle. He had to be cut out of the car with the fire brigade’s rescue shears. He was then flown to the accident hospital in Salzburg with a rescue helicopter with serious injuries. The B311 was blocked in the area of the accident site in the afternoon. There were significant traffic jams.
