Luckily, that was quick! The Salzburg fire brigade was alerted on Saturday night to a room fire on Alexander-Haidenthaller-Straße. The fire was declared out just 15 minutes after they arrived.
Shortly after 11 p.m., the Salzburg fire brigade received a call: There was heavy smoke at Alexander-Haidenthaller-Straße 7. According to an officer on site, the stairwell was found to be smoke-free, but a window in a cordoned-off apartment had already burst. The fire threatened to spread to other apartments. However, the firefighters were able to extinguish all sources of fire within 15 minutes and declare the fire extinguished before midnight. No one was injured and no one was in the apartment that was burning. The cause of the fire was most likely a plugged-in charging cable.
