In China, the fastest train in the world will see the light of day

China is developing its hyper-fast Hyperloop train. The East Asian country wants to break records with this new system of capsules transporting passengers through vacuum tubes at speeds of up to 1,000 km/h. Focus on a train of the future that could revolutionize transport.

China is on course to win the battle for the fastest train in the world. Indeed, the Asian country is currently inventing a TGV at twice the speed of current trains. Imagine: a Paris-Marseille journey in less than two hours, instead of 3h44 on average today.

With its Hyperloop train, China has big ambitions. The Hyperloop system uses capsules carrying passengers through vacuum tubes at speeds of up to 1,000 kilometers per hour. This train of the future, tested this month in China, uses magnets to propel the cars without friction along special tunnels.

China is one step ahead

So China is not the only country to develop Hyperloop trains. The United States with Elon Musk, France in Toulouse and Dubai are also working on similar systems. But China, which entered the battle last, has taken a step ahead. The first tests are conclusive.

This technology, very expensive, should even make it possible to reach four times the speed of sound. China, which already has the largest high-speed train network in the world with 42,000 kilometers of railway tracks, is developing many technologies, including hydrogen trains and magnetic levitation trains already in service.
