Students blocked the University of Corsica on Thursday the day after the attack on the nationalist, seriously injured, in the prison of Arles. A general assembly was held in the presence of elected officials and members of civil society.
It is in the center of the island, in the small mountainous town of Corte, seat of the Pasquale-Paoli University and cradle of Corsican nationalism, that met this Thursday, at the call of three student unions, the elected separatist and separatist parties, the day after Yvan Colonna was attacked by another prisoner in Arles, convicted of terrorism. This general assembly, such as the nationalist movement has not known for years, is a sacred union for this political family after internal rifts during the last territorial elections. In June 2021, 70% of Corsican voters voted for a nationalist list.
But there was no question of internal struggles.
