In Elden Ring, beware of smaller bosses too

Someone had fun comparing the sizes of all the bosses in Elden Ring. And imagine that the big filthy creatures are weaker than the enemies on a human scale.

Elden Ring features an incalculable number of bosses, for as many dantesque clashes that leave memories of both pain and triumph in the minds. FromSoftware has imagined various enemies: some are huge, others on a human scale. Thanks to this video published on May 10 by Garden of Eyes, we discover a scale of size that allows us to better appreciate the design of each of the bosses.

The video is very long: for several minutes, the hero reviews all the bosses ofElden Ringfrom the smallest to the biggest (beware of spoilers) — which does not mean in order of appearance. The smallest boss? The one in the tutorial, which is the easiest to defeat. The largest ? The immense Greyroll, matriarch of the dragons who, too, is easy to beat (she does not move). You will have understood: it is not the size that counts.

In Elden Ring, humanoid bosses are some of the worst

For many, Malenia is considered the worst boss in the game. She does indeed require a lot of discipline, given her range of moves (which regenerate her health each time she hits us) and, above all, her chain capable of kill anyone in a matter of seconds. In the Garden of Eyes video, she only appears in the fourth position. In terms of measurements, there is nothing very scary about it. It largely compensates for this impression with its aggressiveness and power.

Just after Malenia, we find Radagon, the penultimate boss ofElden Ring. Here again, you have to exceed its size: this opponent is ultra tough and may require several tries before being beaten (the time to fully understand how to avoid its attacks causing heavy damage). Margit, the first real boss (and obstacle) of the game, also arrives in the top 10 of the smallest enemies.

Attention, this does not mean that more bossesElden Ring are bigger, the less they are strong. At the end of the chain, the two dragons Placidusax and Fortissax are far from being a piece of cake when you cross their path. And we will not forget to mention Radahn, very tall and very strong.

This rule of size which means nothing as to power is also applied in previous FromSoftware games. In short, beware of appearances.
