After the initial shock, Peter Doppler also thought that the state of emergency would be good for the Naturkind stroller brand he founded. “But things turned out differently,” says the 49-year-old from Gallneukirchen, “the number of births are in Germany and Austria since 2021. It is fortunate that the awareness of natural materials is increasing when it comes to equipment for the child’s first years of life. The trend is helping the company, which has expanded the range of products to include blankets, towels and even baby carriers. In Engerwitzdorf there is now a showroom directly above the production facility where couples can test the driving experience of the prams on different and uneven terrain on a vibration track can be. “We score with maneuverability and our suspension system,” reveals Doppler.
