A wrong step almost ended in tragedy on Friday afternoon in the Tyrolean mountains! A two-year-old girl fell about 50 meters over steep terrain while hiking in front of her mother and was seriously injured.
Shortly before 1:30 p.m., the little Austrian was on her way with her mother, an acquaintance and her children in the municipality of Ellbogen (district of Innsbruck-Land) in the area of the Almgasthaus “Boscheben” in the direction of the mountain station of the Patscherkofelbahn. “On the Zirbenweg there, the girl fell through her own fault over the embankment around 50 meters in steep terrain, some of which is up to 39 degrees,” says the police. The little girl, who was severely injured in the fall, had to be rescued with the emergency medical helicopter “C1” using a rope and flown to the Innsbruck clinic.
