Unknown perpetrators tried to break into a boathouse in Hallstatt within the last four days. They also succeeded in five, but the loot wasn’t that big.
A previously unknown perpetrator broke into several boat huts in Hallstatt between 6 May around 10 p.m. and Tuesday 10 p.m. In all, the burglar was able to break into nine buildings by breaking the padlocks or forcing open the wooden doors with a carpenter’s hammer. So far it is known that mostly only objects of little value were stolen (books, alcoholic beverages, fishing poles). A wooden boat (Zille) with an electric motor was stolen from a boathouse, but it was found again nearby. The damage caused is still under investigation.
