In the small village of Crecora, Ireland, a dog named Bella gave birth to one of the largest litters of puppies of all time. We love it!
This happy event was not planned at all, on the contrary. Mary, a 51-year-old Irishwoman and owner of Bella and Archie, was planning to neuter her dogs. But the health crisis and the confinement have changed his plans. The operation was canceled by the vet. Result: Bella and Archie mated, and the adorable 15-year-old finally got pregnant. So this is a reach that was unexpected. But that wasn’t the only surprise his mistress, Mary had. It turns out that Bella has given birth to 16 puppies altogether, 8 males and 8 females.
That was not planned
According to figures in Ireland, this would be a record. In any case, this litter is the most incredible recorded in the country. Bella therefore had one of the greatest litters of all time. One of the puppies unfortunately did not survive. As for the other 15, they are doing like a charm. Obviously, the masters were taken by surprise and it is a full job to ensure the well-being of these little furballs. Mary confided in the newspaper Mirror : "I was in shock! The vet told us she was going to have 8-10 puppies. To have 15, so it was pretty phenomenal," she explains before adding: "The sterilization appointment was canceled during the lockdown because it was not considered urgent. We tried to separate Bella and Archie. That was not planned."

The workload is enormous. Mary therefore gave the puppies up for adoption. Her son, for example, chose to take one of them. Besides, she couldn't resist the urge to keep one that she named Isaac. Now, she plans to give him all the love he deserves.
