In Linz – cell phone robbers struck down 12-year-old students

“Do you give cell phone”! On the way to school, a twelve-year-old in Linz was attacked by two men who wanted his smartphone.

A 12-year-old from the Linz-Land district was asked to hand over the mobile phone to them on October 12, 2021 at 7:10 am on the way to the school by two previously unknown perpetrators with the words “Give them a mobile phone” . Since the student did not comply, he was jostled by one of the perpetrators on the shoulders and fell to the ground.

Fist in the face
Lying on his back, the perpetrator hit him once in the face with his fist. Then both perpetrators kicked the 12-year-old’s upper body several times with their feet. An unknown witness noticed the incident and came to the aid of the 12-year-old, so that the perpetrators let go of the victim. The perpetrators tried to pull the 12-year-old’s cell phone out of his pocket, but they did not succeed. The victim sustained injuries of indeterminate degree from the assault and went to the children’s hospital with his mother. An immediate search for the perpetrators has so far been negative.

The perpetrators are described as follows:
First offender: Southern descent, black hair, brown eyes, 180-185cm tall, approx. 16-18 years old, wearing a white jogging suit from Nike (hood over head)
Second culprit: noticeably light skin type

Please note
The police asked witnesses who could provide information about the fugitive perpetrators to report to the Linz City Police Command on +43 (0) 59133 453333.
