Ten years ago, the successful organization of the Olympics had boosted the attractiveness of London. One of the keys to this success: a vast investment program of 6.5 billion pounds (7.6 billion euros) which had made it possible to modernize public transport in the capital. However, heavily indebted to the tune of 13 billion pounds and the victim of a fall in the number of users, Transport for London (TFL), the public body responsible for the operation of London transport, is now facing a severe crisis which threatens the network of the British capital of “decline”, warned the mayor of London.
