Arthir de Laborde (special envoy to Metz)

This last weekend of August coincides with the political return of several political parties. And the presidential party is no exception to the rule. The executives of Macronie meet this Saturday in Metz in Moselle. Several members of the government have planned to go there to prepare for this return to school which promises to be busy.

For Macronie, this meeting in Messina land is the moment to tighten the bolts before a return to school which promises to be turbulent for the Renaissance party. To give itself a bit of air beforehand, the party first wants to rebuild itself. The Marching Republic will become Renaissance next month. Several points remain to be settled before the official launch scheduled for September 17. This is therefore the whole purpose of this meeting in Metz.

“Work, time and lucidity” are the watchwords of Macronie

It is above all the ideas and the body of values of the future movement that will be discussed this weekend. An approach that requires three essential ingredients, as explained earlier by the Minister of Labour, Olivier Dussopt. “Work, time and lucidity. And the lucidity to think, to note that if our fellow citizens no longer believe today, in any case too often in politics, if they sometimes violently turn away from democracy, it It’s also because we don’t always know how to talk to them and even sometimes we speak badly to them. And so we have to build this discourse, these proposals and do it with all those we want to address”, he said. noted.

Stéphane Séjourné will take the lead of the party

This Saturday evening, Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne will conclude the behind-the-scenes work herself. But here, in Metz, it is also and above all necessary to satisfy the tenors of the majority wishing to obtain a role in the organization which will be intended to have a presidential candidate for 2027, since Emmanuel Macron will not be able to represent himself.

Regarding the organization chart, except for a huge twist, it is the European deputy Stéphane Séjourné who should take the head of the Renaissance party after a vote of the members. He will probably be supervised by two ministers, Bruno Le Maire and Gérald Darmanin. Emmanuel Macron could be named honorary president.
