Four people died in Mexico after tropical storm Alberto, according to a report released by the authorities on Thursday June 20. Among the victims, three are minors. The Santa Catarina River overflowed, flooding the surrounding land. Several dozen people were evacuated. The south of the neighboring US state of Texas was also affected by flooding.
Storm Alberto brought intense rain between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, before weakening into a tropical depression, but heavy rain and winds of up to 55 kilometers per hour are still expected.
