A 64-year-old e-bike rider from Bürmoos was on the sidewalk and cycle path in Oberndorf near Salzburg on Friday. An encounter with a dog a few minutes later ended in an accident for the man.
The e-biker was met on his route by a 72-year-old walker from Zell am See with her dog. When he noticed the two, the e-biker tried to avoid a collision with the dog and braked sharply. The 64-year-old fell and suffered minor injuries to both hands. The dog was on a short leash and the cyclist was wearing a crash helmet. An alcohol test was negative (0.0 per mille).
