Jura: a night of reading to shudder with fear but also with pleasure

It’s a national event: this weekend, libraries, universities, media libraries in France are celebrating reading.

In that of Jura Nord, in Gendrey, we decided to transform this time of cultural exchange into Night of Horror and Dread thanks to the intervention of actors and an enticing program.

Loire: three days of celebration for DIY enthusiasts

Lyon: Elyx, Andy Warhol and digital works to discover at 1111

Do you know Yacine Aït Kaci? He is a pioneer of digital art. 10 years ago, he created Elyx, a fictional character who became the digital ambassador of the United Nations.

Until March 11, the team of the Lyon gallery 1111 brings this character into dialogue with the precursor of digital art and specialist in the repeated image in screen printing Andy Warhol.

Around a representation of Mick Jagger by the pop art icon, the exhibition displays 1111 works including 1000 NFT. Non-Fungible Tokens, numbered, signed and registered digital assets, sold in crypto currencies.

Ain: old and young books take center stage in Trévoux

They saved the day for many of us during the first lockdown. And this Sunday, books will be the star of two events, in Trévoux.

First with the 14th edition of the Youth Literature Fair, in the village hall (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.), which will welcome around fifteen authors, including guest of honor Cécile Alix.

On the program: storytelling tour, conference, creative workshop, screenings… There will also be stands from publishing houses, the Recyclerie and the Folle Aventure bookshop, an exhibition of the workshops carried out during the week, a caricaturist and a corner reading.

Then with the 25th edition of the old and second-hand book fair, which will bring together around ten professionals from all over the region, still in the village hall.

They will present thousands of works and will dispense numerous advices. There will also be postcards, always highly sought after by collectors.

They are going to cross Lyon… by swimming!

It’s a chilling but funny tradition. Every third Sunday of January, several hundred swimmers throw themselves into the icy waters of the Rhône to cross Lyon by swimming with palms.

See you this January 23, from 10 a.m., for the 41st edition. From start to finish, it’s a great sight. Among other things, the participants will have to go down a few kilometers, from the Cité scolaire internationale to Confluence!
