Food dedicated to Paris 2024 athletes, fermented products of the future, plastic-free packaging… In a few weeks, 500 Danone employees and researchers will be working in the 21,500 m2 brand new buildings of the dairy and water giant’s new international research centre.
Located in the science and technology center of Paris-Saclay, this project called In’Cube, whose inauguration is scheduled for next January, is a major pillar of the revival of innovation at Danone. He is one of the group’s two leading research figures, alongside the other international center, located in Utrecht (Netherlands). Danone also relies on 7 specialized centers (packaging, vegetable products, specialized nutrition, etc.) and 55 local centers. “Our old center, already based in Saclay, was twenty years old and needed to be modernized”underlines Isabelle Esser, new director of R&D.
