In Salzburg – burglars caught red-handed by the police

It was shortly after 2 a.m. on Tuesday when a burglar forcibly opened the front door of a hotel on Kaiserschützenstrasse in Salzburg. Residents heard the noise and alerted the police.

The officers posted themselves outside the hotel and saw how the perpetrator tried to leave the building through a window. Immediately they were arrested. Inside the hotel, the police found a knife that the man had used to break open several drawers. However, he made no prey. The identity of the burglar is not entirely clear, as he was carrying two different IDs – the police at least assume a Hungarian citizen (25).
