On Saturday afternoon, a trolleybus driver in the city of Salzburg had to initiate an emergency stop on Rainerstrasse near the Congress. People on the bus fell and were injured.
Most of the bus passengers were able to seek medical treatment on their own. Two people had to be taken to the Salzburg State Hospital by ambulance. Three ambulances rushed to the injured and the police directed traffic past the bus. Nevertheless, the bus driver was able to prevent anything worse from happening by braking abruptly.
