Microsoft has just rolled out several updates for its Xbox products. The novelties concern both PCs and consoles, or even controllers.

The Redmond firm is also launching its Xbox Elite Wireless Series 2 controller in white!

Major improvements…

The main element brought by this September update concerns Xbox Series X|S (and Xbox One) players. As part of the total overhaul of the interface of its consoles which will end in 2023, Microsoft is now tackling the library. It is now easier to navigate, and it should better display the information players want. The “All Games” section in particular now displays all titles owned or accessible via subscription services (Xbox Game Pass and EA Play) or recovered by Games with Gold.

Also on console, it is now possible to choose different default storage spaces for optimized games, backward compatible games and applications. You can also choose an option to let the OS choose automatically.

…and more minor things

Then, it is now possible to change the color of the Xbox logo (normally white) on the Xbox Elite Wireless Series 2 controllers. To do this, you will have to go through the Xbox Accessories application on console or PC.

Deployed on Series X|S a month ago, noise cancellation arrives today on Xbox One and Windows 10/11. To do this, simply check the appropriate box in the chat group options. Let us recall in passing the arrival a few days ago of Discord on Xbox consoles.

Creating groups in the Xbox app is also faster thanks to the addition of a dedicated button in the “Social” tab. Finally, the Xbox Game Bar on Windows is not forgotten. It now offers a link to give to its contacts under the screenshots to simplify sharing.
