These are amazing confidences. A friend of Thibaut Pinot revealed some indiscretions about the lifestyle of the cyclist. We are a long way from rhinestones and sequins.
While Thibaut Pinot has had ups and downs in his sporting career, he is one of France’s most popular cyclists. Present again this year in the Grande Boucle, the cyclist would have a way of life far from luxury and glitter. Based in Melisey in Haute-Saône, the athlete loves his country life, far from social dinners. With his companion, Charlotte, Miss Champagne-Ardennes 2016, the cyclist bought a farm where he raises cows, horses and even goats.
This lifestyle suits him perfectly, as confided by his friend, Mathieu: “For his shopping, he goes to the local supermarket in tatanes, not wearing his hair. He stinks of goat cheese”, he confided to Paris Match. Some passers-by or residents of his town do not recognize him: “People ask: is it Pinot? Well yes, man. You see him in Paris, you give him a coin!”, says his friend with a small smile. Far from the world of celebrities, Thibaut Pinot likes his simple life: “He gets up, feeds his goats, goes to drive and comes home to lunch before 1 p.m. like the old ones. He’s a peasant. He doesn’t care about anything superficial.”
How did he meet his girlfriend?
Happy with his companion, Thibaut Pinot can count on his presence. She had also returned to her relationship with the cyclist: “I met the departmental delegate of Miss France at the supermarket in Cormontreuil. She came to see me and asked me if I did not want to register for the Miss Marne election”, she revealed to France 3. At the time, she was studying pharmacy at the University of Reims. Charlotte Patat participated in the Tour de France as a formal hostess.
