This is moral courage: a courageous accident witness hired a driver who had fled the car in Ternberg.
A 37-year-old Serbian citizen from Steyr drove his car on April 30, 2021 at around 5.15 p.m. on the Ternberger Landesstraße from Grünburg towards Ternberg. In the municipality of Ternberg, the man overtook a car and then a truck. At that moment, a 71-year-old motorcyclist from the Steyr-Land district met him.
Fall while evading
He tried to evade, but fell down in the process. The 71-year-old was seriously injured and, after first aid, was flown to the Steyr hospital by the “Martin 3” rescue helicopter. The driver just kept driving after the accident. However, a 58-year-old accident witness from the Steyr-Land district took up the chase and was able to prevent the 37-year-old, who was on a forest path in the Dürnbach area, from continuing his journey.
