John Travolta and Nicolas Cage created a cult film with "In the Body of the Enemy". It has now been announced that a sequel is to come.

The action classic "In the body of the enemy" from 1997 is getting a sequel. The director in charge Adam Wingard (38, "Godzilla vs. Kong") announced in an Instagram post. So far it was suspected that the cult flick called "Face / Off" in the original English with Nicolas Cage (57) and John Travolta (66) would only be given a remake.

"I would never do a remake or remake of 'Face / Off'," writes Wingard. The original form is already the perfect action film. He and screenwriter Simon Barrett (43) would therefore work on a sequel.

The industry magazine "Deadline" also reports that the author Oren Uziel has already created a script for a remake. This is now completely ignored by Barrett and Wingard. For Paramount Pictures you would be starting from scratch. A return of Travolta and Cage as actors seems unlikely. "Deadline" assumes that new leading actors will be featured.
