In the first VR park – self-experiment: “Krone” tested “false” reality

Austria’s first virtual reality park is located in Vienna’s Donaustadt. The “Krone” has already looked around in advance and is certain: Unforgettable fun.

Anyone who has always wanted to jet through space at the controls of a spaceship and experience it with all their senses will soon have the opportunity to do so at Hirschstettner Straße 43. That’s where Austria’s first Virtual Reality (VR) Park is located. 100 different applications With a pair of glasses and a total of 100 play options, you can immerse yourself in a virtual world in the hall. Journeys of discovery both above and below sea level, but also action with other players in the jungle or a high-speed race in a virtual sports car help you to immerse yourself in the “false” reality. Almost everything is possible here. Costs: Five euros per device and “journey”. There will soon be a 7D cinema in which all senses will be challenged, including the sense of smell and taste. 360 degree rotation and wind in your hair A special highlight: the ride in the 360 ​​degree chair. Like on a roller coaster ride, you stand upside down for a moment. Including vibration and wind in your hair. Only the graphics could be a little better. The facility was developed and planned in Luxembourg and should have been open long ago. But the pandemic interfered. Now, after the test phase, the virtual world will open in early November 2022
