A well-known perpetrator hit a 34-year-old with a glass bottle on the national holiday at around 7 p.m. on Klagenfurt’s Bahnhofsplatz. The perpetrator was badly drunk and the victim was seriously injured.
On October 26th, 2021 at 7 p.m., an employee of the ÖBB-Security reported by telephone to PI St. Ruprecht Strasse that a male was rioting at the main station square in Klagenfurt / WS and had totally damaged a stand for information sheets there.
Known perpetrator fled
When the police patrol arrived, the suspect had already fled – as could be ascertained that it was a 23-year-old man from Klagenfurt who was known in the office.
34-year-olds covered in blood attacked with a glass bottle
After a manhunt was initiated immediately, police officers found a male person with blood covered in his face in the vicinity, who drew his attention to himself. It was a 34-year-old from Klagenfurt who stated that he had been beaten up by the 23-year-old a short time before when the latter allegedly tried to hit his head with a full glass bottle.
Brutal attacks followed
In the course of this dispute, the bottle shattered when it hit the ground, which is said to have made the 23-year-old from Klagenfurt even more aggressive. He then hit the 34-year-old in the face with his fists several times until he fell to the ground. As a result, the fugitive is said to have kicked the victim’s head and subsequently jumped on his head.
Immediately taken to the hospital
The seriously injured Klagenfurt resident was brought to the Klagenfurt / WS Clinic by the ambulance after receiving initial medical attention.
The perpetrator was found in an acquaintance’s apartment
The officials were able to ascertain that the refugee should spend the night with a friend of his in Klagenfurt. There they were able to meet the man, temporarily arrest him and take him to PI Klagenfurt / WS-St. Bring Ruprecht Strasse.
He was heavily drunk
Because he was heavily alcoholic, he could not be questioned and was taken to the Klagenfurt police detention center.
The questioning will take place today, Wednesday
The 23-year-old will be questioned on October 27, 2021 and then transferred to the Klagenfurt prison.
