The debate on freedom of speech within the Palais-Bourbon has been revived after an epidemic of disciplinary sanctions targeting several deputies.

Grégoire de Fournas, deputy of the National Rally (RN), was censured and expelled for 15 days from the Palais-Bourbon for the “tumult” caused after claiming “that he (they) return (ent) to Africa” while the deputy of La France insoumise (LFI) Carlos Martens Bilongo questioned the government on the danger incurred by a ship transporting migrants in the Mediterranean.
