In the national park – expedition for the future in Heiligenblut

In order to be able to continue to optimally combine nature conservation and tourism, a colorful team went on a sustainable mission in the national park region in Heiligenblut.

When three scientists and three locals get together to talk about the future of the national park, things can get exciting. Tourism in Heiligenblut faces a number of challenges. Demographic change, changed demand, digitization and internationalization no longer make it easy for tourism professionals Barbara Pucker, Director of the Hohe Tauern National Park in Carinthia, is convinced. Getting to know the residents’ ideas The “expedition team” visited twelve stations in the region and got to know entrepreneurs, residents and their ideas. These different perspectives should create new visions of the future.
