Homemade cake is still the best – there’s no doubt about that. But you don’t necessarily have the time to stand in the kitchen forever. Luckily, there are a few recipes with which you can put delicious cake batter in the oven in no time. You actually don’t need more than three minutes to make this lemony and light sponge cake. And the cake tastes simply heavenly. Give it a try – you will be surprised at how little time you have to invest in making a good cake.

Instructions: This is how you can make a light yogurt cake

  1. Once you have all the ingredients ready, simply mix them all together in a bowl (with a hand mixer or a food processor) and pour the dough into a greased and ideally floured springform pan.
  2. Bake the cake at 160 to 180 degrees for about an hour. You can do other things in a relaxed manner or simply put your feet up.
  3. To be on the safe side, test with a stick after 50 minutes whether the cake is ready, because every oven is different. You can take the cake out as soon as the dough no longer sticks to the stick.

Yay, the cake is ready! And now?

Well, enjoy! However, you can also add icing over the cake if you like. But only when it has cooled down properly. It’s very easy: Mix a pack of powdered sugar (250 grams) little by little with water or lemon juice (tablespoonful!) until you get a smooth cream.
