At the end of the sixth day of demonstration against the pension reform, the Senate began discussions around the most divisive article of the text of the law.

The Senate began the long-awaited examination of the pivotal article of the pension reform project raising the retirement age to 64, Tuesday at the very end of the afternoon, at the end of a sixth day of mobilization of unions against this text.

In addition to the gradual decline in the legal retirement age, this article also provides for the acceleration of the extension of the contribution period provided for by the Touraine reform of 2014, crystallizing criticism from the unions and the left.
