In the steep forest – fell when looking for mushrooms: mountain rescue rescued woman

The mountain rescue service in Villach was alerted in the late afternoon on Monday: In Höfling in the municipality of Finkenstein, a 60-year-old fell while hiking and mushroom climbing.

The mountain rescuers were able to rescue the 60-year-old with a carrying system from an impassable section of forest in Höfling near Finkenstein. The woman was handed over to the Red Cross and admitted to the LKH Villach. The emergency doctor carried out the pain therapy on site, support was provided by the Finkenstein volunteer fire brigade. Eight mountain rescuers were deployed, plus an operations manager in the headquarters, the Red Cross team, firefighters from FF Finkenstein, and an emergency doctor.
